Individualist /collectivist refers to a difference between cultures that independent expression and action , and those that are more group-oriented.Individualist cultures tend to admire the person who stands up for his or her principles or opinions, while collectivist cultures value more the team player.      In many countries,emotions are regarded as private,and should not be displayed in public.This attitude is the neutral value orientation,and is at the other end of the scale from the emotional pole,when cultures value and appreciate the display of emotion. A mernber of a neutral culture might perceive people from an emotional culture as excitable or uncontrolled,while the neutral culture member could be viewed as cold or disinterested by members of a society in which displays of are more common. 真心求翻译~~~~~
